Dear friends,

I am very excited to be participating in my 6th annual MMRF Team for Cures 5K on April 28th. I have committed to raising awareness and funds to help find a cure for multiple myeloma—an incurable blood cancer that develops in the bone marrow—in support of my brother, Paul Hurley.

This is a milestone year for HURLEY NATION! April 15th marks the 5-year anniversary of Paul’s stem cell transplant (also known as his 5th “re-birthday”). At that point, the future was very uncertain for us. We waited with optimism for 100 days to find out if the transplant was successful, and thankfully all of our prayers were answered! The work of the MMRF, the Dana Farber doctors, our enthusiastic teammates, and our generous donors have made a significant difference in our lives. We are extremely grateful that Paul remains in remission, and we hope that further research and funding will extend this positive outcome for decades.

For my entire life, I've been blessed to have my big brother look out for me. Now it's my turn to do what I can for him. We need a cure for multiple myeloma—for Paul and so many others—and we appreciate your help in finding one. I am very thankful for any donation that you are able to give.

With love and gratitude,
