Welcome to Jeanines Angels

Jerelyn Anderson

Join Us! My sister Jeanine was blind sided with the incurable Multiple Myeloma diagnosis 8 years ago and it completely changed her life, becoming virtually paralyzed overnight. Jeanine underwent Spinal Surgery, goes for ongoing radiation treatments, is on lifelong chemotherapy and the term cancer is now part of her everyday life.
Jeanine's life did change dramatically, but with her strong faith, family, friends, incredible sense of humor and wit and her MM support system she has made and is making unbelievable progress from learning how to stand and walk again, after surgery 8 years ago, hearing repeatedly that that wouldn't be the case.
Jeanine has dedicated her life to helping others, she is the Executive Director of Emmaus and along with her dedicated staff is finding ways to provide permanent housing to help end homelessness in the Merrimack Valley and beyond for over 30 years.
Now its time to help her, MMRF is always searching for new strides to find a cure for MM.This walk is just a reminder for us that the MMRF is removing obstacles faster and extending lives. But we need your help.

This year, we will be participating in the MMRF Team for Cures 5K Walk/Run. I have committed to raising awareness and funds to accelerate finding a cure for multiple myeloma, which is the second most common blood cancer and is incurable. Your generosity truly makes a difference, as funds raised at this event in the past have helped to:

Nearly tripled patient survival
Deliver ten new treatments in a decade
Launched over 80 new clinical trials

The mission of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is to find a cure for multiple myeloma by relentlessly pursuing innovation that accelerates the development of next-generation treatments to extend the lives of patients. Founded in 1998 by Kathy Giusti, a multiple myeloma patient, and her twin sister Karen Andrews as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, the MMRF is a world-recognized leader in cancer research. Together with its partners, the MMRF has created the only end-to-end solution in precision medicine and the single largest genomic dataset in all cancers. The MMRF continues to disrupt the industry today, as a pioneer and leader at the helm of new research efforts. Since its inception, the organization has raised over $400 million and directs nearly 90% of the total funds to research and related programs. The MMRF is in the top 1% of all charities, having earned Charity Navigator’s 4-star rating for 16 years. To learn more, visit themmrf.org.

Please support my participation in the MMRF Team for Cures 5K Walk/Run. Your donation will have a meaningful impact on the lives of thousands of patients and their families!

Thank You!
