It's hard to believe that this is our family's 15th year participating in the MMRF Boston Race for Research. Throughout the years, our team, Jeff's Juggernauts, has raised about $245,000 for multiple myeloma research in honor of our dad, Jeff Riskin, who was diagnosed in 2004 and lost his battle nine years ago. We couldn't have done it without you. We will continue to remember him every year at the race, and to help fight for a cure so that others won't have to lose their parents, spouses, children, and friends to blood cancer.
Over the years, the MMRF community has become a second family to us. We have met determined doctors, patients, and family members. We have worked with the most dedicated, caring, and passionate group of people - the MMRF staff and fundraisers - who will not rest until a cure is found.
This year we are not only running for our dad, but to support our friends who are currently living with multiple myeloma: Bill McHugh, Jean Dreyer, William O'Halloran, Dick Olkkola, Karen Karl, Susan Gimilaro, and Ed Loveland. We also honor the memories of our cousin Len Fleischer and friends Trish Rubino, Joan Knapton, Bobbi Friedman and David Epstein.
We hope you can join us on April 29th to celebrate and remember our dad at this fun and inspiring event. If you can't make it on race day, we would be grateful for any donation amount to help us reach our goal.
Thank you so much for your friendship and generosity. We can't tell you how much your support means to our family every year!
