Join Me! The MMRF is removing obstacles faster and extending lives. But we need your help.

On June 15, 2019, I will once again be participating in the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) Team for Cures 5K Walk/Run. My family and I have been participating in this 5K Walk/Run for 5 years. We began this journey after my Stepmother, Janet L. Infante, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Janet fought very hard for eight years, however in May 2018 she lost her battle to this terrible disease. I am honored to be Captain of "Team Janet Strong this year." Janet was an amazing woman that touched so many lives. She was an inspiration to me. This year we will walk/run in memory of Janet, for a cure for others that are fighting this battle, and for the families and friends that this terrible disease affects. I have committed to raising awareness and funds to accelerate finding a cure for multiple myeloma, which is the second most common blood cancer and is incurable. Your generosity truly makes a difference, as funds raised at this event have helped to:

Nearly tripled patient survival
Deliver ten new treatments in a decade
Launched over 80 new clinical trials

The mission of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is to find a cure for multiple myeloma by relentlessly pursuing innovation that accelerates the development of next-generation treatments to extend the lives of patients. Founded in 1998 by Kathy Giusti, a multiple myeloma patient, and her twin sister Karen Andrews as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, the MMRF is a world-recognized leader in cancer research. Together with its partners, the MMRF has created the only end-to-end solution in precision medicine and the single largest genomic dataset in all cancers. The MMRF continues to disrupt the industry today, as a pioneer and leader at the helm of new research efforts. Since its inception, the organization has raised over $400 million and directs nearly 90% of the total funds to research and related programs. The MMRF is in the top 1% of all charities, having earned Charity Navigator’s 4-star rating for 16 years. To learn more, visit themmrf.org.

Please support my participation in the MMRF Team for Cures 5K Walk/Run. Your donation will have a meaningful impact on the lives of thousands of patients and their families! Please also think about joining our team!

Thank You!

Jill
