Run for Randy Los Angeles
Lynn Miyamoto is the team captain of Run for Randy for our Los Angeles 5K Walk/ Run. Lynn is participating in honor of her brother in law, Randy Lim, who has multiple myeloma. Run for Randy fundraises to help fund important research for this disease which has personally affected their family. "We've see all the breakthroughs and advances in treatment since then so we know our efforts now will help many patients in the future."
Multiple MyeLlamas Philadelphia
Dave was diagnosed with myeloma in August of 2017. Dave and some of his closest friends formed the team Multiple MyeLlamas for the Philadelphia 5K and raised over $25,000. "Team Multiple MyeLlamas is participating in the Philadelphia 5K Walk/Run to honor Dave and all the incredible warriors battling this disease. We will come together to support and celebrate our heroes"
Dana Turasky Chicago
Dana and her sister Courtney participated and fundraised in the Chicago 5K to honor their mom who has been living with myeloma for 17 years. The sisters are motivated to fundraise because they have seen first hand what research and clinical trials can do. "The more research that's done gets us that much closer to a cure. I want so much for my mom to have a chance to be cancer free again. She's fighting, and we're racing for a cure." - Dana
